Aurochs (Bos
primigenius †[1]) - an extinct species o f cloven-hoofed mammal of the order, the ancestor of certain bree ds of domestic cattle (Bos taurus). The descriptions in the chron icles of old woodcuts and surviving that the rounds were very sim ilar to the large breeds of cattle. Outdoor wykopaliskowy material is small. Aurochs ancestors appeared about 2 million years ago (Pliocene) in India, where the spread of forest areas in Asia and Europe and north Africa. [2] In historical times, appeared almost anywhere in Europe (known forms of fossil sites in Asia and Africa ).
